lets speak for a little about a thing called confidence. confidence is not to be confused with arrogance. confidence is you believing in what you deserve. when approaching a woman, you want to go about it as if you have nothing to lose. realistically, you dont. the only thing that makes you hesitate even for the slightest of a nanosecond is your own doubt in your ability. you want to get a woman like MY woman kerry?



you have to possess confidence, son! okay, obviously im not really with kerry washington, but why would she say 'im busy that night, but ill take your number'? another reason is because i probably couldnt take care of her because im broke. BUT personality-wise, any man has a shot at any woman. you of course should have some things in common so another question is where do i find these ladies? at events or places that you frequent. are you into books? hit up a barnes and nobles or another small bookstore. go to author readings. into fashion? post up at FIT. sure, a lot of those girls are cokeheads and EXTRA promiscuous, but if thats what youre into, go for it.

the point is, sometimes you just have to say fuck it. that goes for you too, ladies. know what you want and seize it. BUT, play it cool. you're not going to get with ryan reynolds


if you call him 10 times a day and tell him how cute he is and you dont deserve him. that makes you crazy, lame, and a nutjob. no one wants to date to a person who is just too into you. space it out just a tad but stay true to yourself. if you want to call her the first night you get the number, call.....but at a reasonable time. dont call her an hour after you get her number. thats a creep move.

another thing is self-worth. you have to love yourself and you have to know what you deserve. think of it like this, how can you love another if you dont love yourself.

so in my recent unemployment vacation began, ive been consuming myself in what i call 'Lostfest'. i used to watch lost when it first premiered but i missed a lot of episodes and then i got, go figure, lost.



i didnt have access to the internet at the time so i gave up hope. recently i discovered that i have access to all seasons of lost via netflix and their watch instantly plug-in. lostfest is just me watching lost nonstop. i turn my phone on either vibrate or silent and i watch lost. i might spark up in between, but i always go back to the island. i have been consuming myself in lostfest, skateboarding, cereal, bananas, cliff bars, and pita chips. greatest diet ever.

so yeah, i chill with these guys along with numerous others. we have fun. i got a new job at the adidas store. tight. hyped on that. so yeah, think good thoughts. no matter how bad things seem, they could ALWAYS be worse. we have it good. if you need reassurance, google frank mccourt. then read his book. youll appreciate our mundane struggles.

f*** chase (after your money) bank

okay, so new york state taxation put a levy (a kind of hold) on my account and specifically $570 dollars. i also had to deposit another $50 bucks just so that the negative balance would zero out after they jacked all that cash from my napping eyes. i was told that after i zeroed out the balance, i could resume my normal account activity and the money they put on hold would be withdrawn by nys taxation on april 9th. great! fast forward to the 11th of this month. i check my balance only to see that i now have a balance of $-450 in my account. apparently the amount that was placed on hold was withdrawn from my account but the funds that were put on hold was still untouched. THEN i was charged an overdraft fee that chase refuses to reimburse me for. is it my fault that you guys withdrew the money prematurely? and how do i get an overdraft fee when there's $140 in my account? (yes, im poor, i know)

bottom line, all these banks suck. taxes suck, sketchy people and incorrect information sucks, and money, to me, sucks. so to my fantastic financial housing facility, i have to side with dubya on this one

willow was a movie that always used to be shown on channel 11. i just found out that it was directed by Ron Howard (thanks google). anyway, my point is this: at the end of the movie, there is a lucifer looking creature who is defeated and he goes on to say "there can be no light without darkness". yes, this was said in a fantasy movie and i could easily let it slide like another section of their script, but those words have stayed with me for a very long time. why? because they could be the truest words ive ever read. how can you appreciate all the good you have unless youve been through your own share of grief and misery? truth is, you cant.

so yes, times are difficult. yes, they just might get worse.
but the sun is shining. there is hope in the most evasive yet obvious of places. find it. things get better. things fall apart. rebuild. restructure. revitalize. because no one is going to want it for you.
